I'm Melvin Sterk and I use design to break boundaries and change perceptions and systems. I'm able to do this by using tools from (human-centred) design, sociology, engineering, philosophy and art. This diverse toolkit allows me to bring unique perspectives which lead to unique results.

I create for the long term by building sustainable relationships with users and stakeholders. While immediate value is important to an organisation, I balance this with value created continuously and in the long term. By making this value clear to stakeholders and speaking in their language, I’m able to persuade others to see the long-term benefits as well.

I love thinking about strategy, about how to translate a vision into detail, and how best to present ideas. I love colouring through the lines, and changing structures rather than just doing a trick once. If you would like to work together on challenges that seem ambiguous, then drop me a line!
